Ingredients

  • 3 lb chuck roast
  • 1 onion, wedges
  • 1 lb potatoes, chunks
  • 4 carrots, chunked
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dried thyme

Steps

  1. Season the roast and sear each side.
  2. Add vegetables, broth, Worcestershire and thyme.
  3. Cook as shown in your settings.
  4. Test with a fork; it should shred easily.
  5. Rest 3 minutes at 145°F or higher, then slice.

Safe temperature

145°F. Plus a 3 minute rest; it should also be fork-tender.
